CAMPUS SUMMARY
Alvernia is a Catholic co-educational college sponsored by the Bernardine Sisters of St. Francis. Its purpose is to provide affordable quality education that combines liberal arts with career and professional opportunities. Alvernia emphasizes moral leadership throughout its curriculum.

Alvernia is located three miles from center-city Reading, in the scenic Blue Mountain area of eastern Pennsylvania. The 80-acre campus adjoins Angelica Lake.

The College is in a state of growth with the addition of a new residence suite and student center completed August of 1999. A 150-bed residence hall is currently under construction and will open for Fall 2001.
